Our 3rd grade class had a trust lesson with Miss Shingelo. Each student had to assist their blindfolded classmate cross the island! They then exchanged positive message hearts to lift each other up! ❤️

In the spirit of promoting kindness and compassion for each other, Mrs. Dengel and Mrs. Hughes’s 4th graders were put in a sticky situation. They were instructed by Mrs. Carlo to get ALL the toothpaste out then attempt to put it all back in. The class was ambitious and persisted, but found the task to be impossible. The sticky toothpaste was everywhere. Just like name-calling and “put-downs” once they’re said to others, they stick and it’s impossible to take them back. They worked together to share times words “stuck” and how to use words to build each other up. Good work 4th grade!

Thank you to our PTA for a fun night of Candy Bar Bingo! 🍫

Mrs. Lee’s 1st grade class enjoyed watching Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction and were excited for an early Spring, well, some of them! They made their own groundhog craft to celebrate with their hats. 1st grade says, "Come on Spring!"

Our 5th and 6th grade students all gathered at the Yuletide Christmas Tree Farm in New Egypt, New Jersey for a holiday-themed field trip! This field trip was entirely funded by the Ocean County College Garden Project Grant, recently awarded to Eagleswood Elementary School’s STEAM program. The students participated in a tour of the farm, learning about all of the types of Christmas trees that are raised, all of the insects and creatures that live on their land, and how the weather and other conditions affect the trees year to year. We also learned that the very center of New Jersey is located at this farm, and the students got to touch the center of the state! Students were given beautiful ornaments as a souvenir for the trip. Finally, they were provided a delicious Jersey Mike's lunch at the New Egypt Fire House. Thank you so much to Ocean County College for a fun-filled day!
